Vision

Inspiration. The Blue Buddha was created to serve the community by Erik Everts, a California State and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Bodyworker.

Integrative. Ancient traditions, modern modalities and professional experience combine to create truly integrated treatments for you. We’re dedicated to the transformative power of bodywork.

Inspired. Your session is based on your needs and goals without the limitations of a standard menu. Enter without expectations and give yourself permission to unwind.

Sanctuary. Our space was created to honor you and wellness journey. Allow your time with us be sacred. Reconnect to yourself.

In addition to caring for the client, The Blue Buddha serves as a residency for other healing arts professionals to practice their art form in a supportive environment. Each Resident Practitioner is an independent business owner.

Philosophy. Inspired by eastern traditions, the concept of Metta and a love for an integrative approach to massage therapy and bodywork, the concept of The Blue Buddha was born—a healing space that supports the local community on their journey of mindful living, self-realization and wellness.

Metta :: loving kindness, the Buddhist virtue of generous kindness and goodwill, a benevolence toward all beings, without discrimination, that is free of selfish attachment. It is a strong, sincere wish for the happiness of all beings.

We deliver treatments based on your needs combined with our professional experience in order to ultimately inspire you, support the cultivation of awareness & happiness and the ability to be present in your life.

Your healthy life ultimately begins with you. The Blue Buddha is a place to inspire the healing that you can facilitate in yourself. Sometimes this self-healing can be uncomfortable and bring up challenging emotions. We are here to lend our hands in support of your healing journey. We are the skilled hands, the listening ears and the open hearts to remind you that you are exactly where you need to be.

The Name. The Blue Buddha is a reference to the Tibetan Buddhist Medicine Buddha (aka The Blue Buddha). In Tibetan images of the Medicine Buddha the left hand typically holds a blooming myrobalan plant. Tibetan medicine recognizes three basic types of illness, the root causes of which are the conflicting emotions — passion, aggression, and ignorance. Myrobalan is the only herb in the Tibetan pharmacopoeia that can aid in healing each of these three types of diseases. This is like the action of the Buddha of Healing, who has the power to see the true cause of any affliction, whether spiritual, physical or psychological and who does whatever is necessary to alleviate it.

The Blue Buddha is dedicated to John & Henrietta Everts
and the inspiring teachers who have shared their love, knowledge and wisdom along the way.
These are the people who have made this labor of love possible.
